A Second Naturist Walk Near Lahnstein

A Second Naturist Walk Near Lahnstein

It’s June 24, 2025, and the fourth day of our vacation has begun. Today is our last day at Camping Wolfsmühle, as tomorrow will be another travel day. On workdays we always get up at a quarter past five in the morning, and breaking that routine during the holiday turns out to be difficult. So once again, I’m awake early. It’s just past 6:00 when I get up and pack my backpack. Yesterday’s nude hike was wonderful, and I’m determined to enjoy another one just like it. My husband is still asleep, and after quietly packing the essentials, I slip out of the caravan and begin my hike.

The temperature is pleasant and the sun is already shining brightly at this early hour. It promises to be a beautiful day. The first part of the route is the same as yesterday, so I walk along the railway line into the village until I reach the forest path, where I quickly remove my short jogging shorts. Naked again, I continue toward the familiar bench and pause briefly to apply insect repellent. That’s not a luxury today either, as plenty of bugs are buzzing around. After a good sip of water, I leave the Lahnoase and climb the steep path uphill.

I walk on until I reach the forest spring where I was yesterday. This time I don’t turn back but decide to follow the path further and make a longer walk than before. The scenery is truly beautiful, and every now and then the forest opens up to reveal a lovely view over the Lahn valley. A little farther along, I reach a spot Komoot had also shown me — a viewpoint with a bench where you can rest for a while and enjoy the scenery.

As I continue, I come to a fork in the path. There are fewer trees here, allowing the sun to shine freely. The trail I’m following bends sharply to the right and leads into the Kur- und Heilwald (Spa and Healing Forest). You really couldn’t imagine a better place. Walking nude definitely has a healing effect on me.

The Kur- und Heilwald is truly a magnificent place. The natural surroundings are almost overwhelming, and there isn’t another person in sight for miles. I feel completely at one with nature.

Not much farther on there’s another viewpoint. The hikers here are well cared for, because once again there’s a place to sit — and what a place! It’s actually a lounge bench where you can relax for a while, have a drink, and take in yet another stunning view. You simply can’t walk past such an inviting spot, so I take my time to sit down peacefully and freely.

By now I’m well on my way back toward the campsite. The route now leads from the viewpoint to the “dragon bench” I visited yesterday. In the distance, I see a woman approaching with her dog — the first person I’ve encountered today. Given the time, that’s not surprising, as it’s almost 8:00. When we pass each other, I wish her a good morning and continue on my way. This is how it should be everywhere, really — after all, you’re simply naked, with no other intentions. Unfortunately, it will probably take a while before this becomes more widely accepted.

From the dragon bench, I continue on toward the village. As I’m about to cross the railway line near the campsite, a train approaches. Of course, that deserves a photo, as trains and railways are another hobby of mine. Feeling satisfied, I walk back to the caravan. Tomorrow we’ll be traveling to the Black Forest, and I’m already hoping I’ll be able to enjoy another wonderful nude hike there.
