Who am I?
I am currently 54 years old and live in the beautiful northern part of North Holland. Because we humans often feel the need for labels, I call myself a ‘naturist’. That feels like the right description for me, as I identify with many of the core values of a naturist lifestyle. Still, I don’t feel a label is really necessary. I’m simply a human being, and I feel most comfortable without clothes.
At this moment, naturism for me is a journey of rediscovery. When I met my current partner, I suddenly stopped everything related to it and never spoke or acted on it again. In hindsight, not the smartest decision, but at the time I probably wasn’t far enough along in my own journey to talk about it openly and honestly. But, as the saying goes, “you can’t fight what’s in your nature,” and the feeling of freedom that comes with naked living can’t be suppressed. Sooner or later, the question arises: how do you make space for it again in your life, especially in your relationship, when your partner isn’t really into it?
In the meantime, quite a lot has changed, and on this website I’d like to share my experiences: my love for naturist walks and bike rides, but also the simple joy of being free without clothes — at home and in nature. For me, naturism is nothing more and nothing less than enjoying life in complete freedom, with respect for one another and for nature. And to immediately address one of the biggest misconceptions: naturism has absolutely nothing to do with sexuality!
By sharing my stories and photos, and by being open and honest, I hope to contribute to greater understanding and acceptance of the naturist lifestyle. In the end, everyone wants to be themselves. For me, that means: I do the same daily things as anyone else — I cycle, I walk — just more often without clothes. Simply because that’s when I feel best, and really, that shouldn’t be anything special at all.
