Naturist morning walk at Beekse Bergen

This weekend we're staying in a small cabin at Beekse Bergen. Very cozy, but sleeping isn’t going great. After lying awake for a few hours, I decide to get up and go for a walk. Since everyone was still asleep, I searched for my phone in the dark to set up a route. The park has a woodland trail, and in these early morning hours it seems like the perfect place for a naturist walk.

In the dim light of the early morning, I put on my short jogging shorts, a shirt, and hiking shoes, and step outside. The first part takes me between the holiday cottages, and a little further on is the entrance to the woods. A bit beyond that I reach the fence of the safari park, out of sight. A great moment to take off my clothes and continue the walk in naturist style.

At a relaxed pace I continue walking along the safari park fence. The animals are clearly not awake yet and stay hidden. Only a small group of camels on the other side of the fence notices me and walks off. It’s still too dark to take a good photo, so I keep going. A bit further the path curves and I enter the actual woodland area.

In the forest, most paths are long and straight, running parallel to each other. Between them are cross-paths that connect everything. All the long trails end at the outer fence of the park. You can walk along that fence, but it’s not really suitable for it. And you'd be quite visible too. So I decide to wander around freely and try to make the walk as long as possible. Just walk as many trails as I can and enjoy the cool awakening morning and the gentle drizzle coming down.

Even though it's around 12 degrees, it still feels wonderful to walk naked. In my experience, your body adapts quickly. Besides, I don’t get cold very easily, so it’s perfectly fine. After about an hour I calmly head back towards the cabin. When I’m almost at the exit of the forest, I put my jogging shorts back on and walk on. On my way to a nice cup of coffee and the cheerful chaos of our group. It’s been a wonderfully relaxing walk and even though the trees are almost completely bare, I really enjoyed the beautiful autumn colors in the forest. Maybe I’ll go again tomorrow if I wake up early.
